Detroit to Tokyo

A day of work and travel. Is 12:39am and I still have to gather the rest of my cloths and pack them. The most important parts of the trip have been taken care of so im excited and looking forward to what the rest of the day brings me.

Its currently 10:25am, I had an uneventful walk through security and am waiting at my gate. Departure is at 1:40pm, I have time to relax, eat and work.

I just took off on time and on schedule to arrive on time. Window seat with extra legroom cause no ones got the seat in the middle. The isle seat is taken by a polite young japanese lady. She reminds me a little bit of Eden's friend, the gay one that went to LA looking for her GF, the same one that crashed her tesla and almost died. I dont care to guess what she is only that the way she dresses reminds me of her. Oversized stripped dress shirt. Her hands are covered in an assortment of rings, her pants baggy kakies. I digress, but we had a pleasent interaction, anyways, exhaustion is starting to kick in. I didnt sleep the day before yesterday and didnt get much sleep lastnight. 13+ hrs of active flight time should be plenty for me to find a few hours to sleep.

I made a potentially huge mistake. So last night I came home from work and was really hungry so I ate some leftovers on the stove. Big mistake, shit was slightly rancid and ive been gassey all morning. I didnt see the importance of mentioning it earlier except now I may have sharted a little. RIP nice japanese girls nose. Its really not too bad though, its barely even a shart. Im thankful its not any bigger than this. Enough about shit, this flights been great for productivity. Ive gotten so much done and learned so much about docker.

Currently this portion(Up until Oct 21) of the blog is being written a little behind schedule. The original plan was to write and update daily, however my billions of fans will have noticed that did not happen. Samemasen!!!

Landing in Tokyo was pretty uneventfull. I was able to get off the plane and through customs with almost no problems. The snack Pa had packed me almost got me quarantined(non commercialy packed meats and other good are not allowed into the country. Pa had packed chicken with pasta. After that I met one of my best friends Manu. We met at the airport and he explained how the Japanese railway network works. Its really quite simple, with an iphone all I had to do was add the Suica card in the wallet app and deposit funds. Much better than anything kkr NS has. Jesus christ are fairs dirt cheap.

After taking the train to Manu's city the first thing we did was go grab some ramen. My first ramen expierence was pretty memorable. This ramenshop only seats about 10 people so we had to wait a little before our dinner. While waiting 2 locals stumbled out of the shop and basically fell over onto the sidewalk. They groaned and grabbed their stomachs. I muttered and lauched to Manu about how they must be drunk. This was not the case hahah. When it was our turn to be let into the shop i was greated with a kitchen surrounded by a bar. The entire resturaunt, kitchen included was about the size of 1127's kitchen. So we really had a tight squeez. I still had my luggage with me which I fortunatly was able to set down on some boxes behind me.

Yeah, so I travled to japan with just a small Northface bag :D hahah.

Manu ordered for me, I was pretty hungry from the flight so I decided to go with what he reccomended. A mega bowl of rammen. Holy shit was that allot of food. I ended up getting something like 3kg of pork ramen. My stomach couldnt handle it and I now realized while those locals were laying on the side of the street. I tried my best but wasnt able to finish it. After a great meal we went to his college dorm and dropped off my stuff. He lives in a shoebox, I am grateful he shared it with me.

After leaving his place we entered the local family mart and picked up some strongzero's. This drink is what they call the Gijin killer, for reasons that should be obvious to all that consume this elixer.

Moving on to meet up with some of his friends at a Dutch bar we had a great drink. They did end up all being girls but we had a great time. It was also a funny change of pace to be in a dutch bar in japan.

Most of his friends were quite tired so they went home after a while but this nice girl Rabekka and another girl decided to continue the nights antics with us. Rabekkas pretty cute, I hope I get to see her again before this trip is over.

I am skipping over allot of details, especially some political ones... its safe to say I had a Dostoyevsky nasty business type of night. Thank god Manu is great with damage control because otherwise im not sure what I would do.
